The University of Strathclyde Eco-Vehicle team is now in it’s fourth year of competing in the Shell Eco-Marathon, the worlds greatest energy efficiency competition. Members are responsible for designing, manufacturing and testing all elements of the vehicle from the monocoque and steering assembly to the motor controller and battery pack.
The Leading UK battery Powered Prototype 2019
USEV exists to design, manufacture and test a highly efficient electric vehicle for competing in the annual Shell Eco- Marathon competition.
To achieve this, we use lightweight materials, precision machined components and custom electronics.
We are committed to ensuring members have and enjoyable and educational experience in the team.
Our philosophy encourages members to gain new skills that will be invaluable in university and the workplace and gain new friends.
We are Student Led
USEV is run by students, for students.
In addition to designing and building the vehicle from the ground up, our members work to acquire funds through sponsorship
as well as organise events for the team to attend.
